Coimbatore-based Jula Herbal Sanitary Napkins, a growing manufacturer of eco-friendly, and sustainable women’s sanitary napkin, has opened its new unit to increase manufacturing output, accelerate operational speed, and boost capacity owing to the rising demand for organic sanitary napkins.
Founded in 2019 by Rejula Mustafa, who previously served as the quality head in the clothing sector with 15+ years of tailoring experience, Jula was motivated by her own journey of overcoming various problems linked to traditional sanitary products. Following her struggles with allergies, rashes and other serious health ailments, Rejula committed herself to developing a more health-conscious and safer menstrual hygiene option, and started a small unit with the help of local women in her area.

“I am dedicated to supporting a workforce led by women and cultivating a community that emphasizes sustainability and well-being,” says Rejula.
She adds, “We stay true to our foundational principles of quality, sustainability, and compassion in all our environmentally-friendly period care products that not only emphasize your health, but also protect the planet. We’re currently looking for product distributors, investors, partners, store owners, sellers and resellers to join our success journey and sustain the momentum.”
The startup has been witnessing a surge in the number of orders received. She says,”An increasing volume of orders is the aspiration of every entrepreneur; however, it brings significant pressure on operational efficiency. Recently, we received a couple of international orders, among others, that necessitated the establishment of a new unit, as the current set up was not optimal and needed to be tweaked for better performance.” Consequently, the new unit was started in Coimbatore and inaugrated on 25th January . She says, “The newly established unit will boost competitiveness, improve operational efficiency, and ensure outstanding solutions for every customer.”

“Jula is better than most women hygiene solutions currently available. It helps avoid issues such as infections, itching, and bad odors, plus it’s completely non-synthetic,” said a regular customer of the brand for over 4 years, in the event.
The unit was inaugrated by Sowmy Venkatesan, Head of Programs, Akashvani, Coimbatore with a formal lamp lighting. The innaugration was attended by many startups, businesses, influencers and academicians representing different institutions. The guests of honour, staff team and a few customers were honoured during the inaugration.
